Cask Club Rules

The rules and regulations set forth in this document are part of the membership agreement. The Cask Club reserves the right to amend any and all rules, regulations and pricing, without prior notice to its members.

 

CONSTITUTION AND DEFINITIONS

The Cask Club (‘The Club’), a leisure facility is situated in Washington D.C.  (‘The Premises’). The Club is a proprietary Club and the proprietor is Scotts D.C. (“The Company”) whose registered office is ………………………

 

MEMBERSHIP ELECTION

2a.   The Company has complete discretion as to whether to admit an applicant as a member of the Club and is under no obligation to explain the reasons for the rejection of any applicant.  Membership of the Club is granted subject to the receipt by the Company of the Membership and Subscription fees together with the applicant’s signature of agreement to be bound by the rules of the Club. The Company also has complete discretion as to the termination of a member’s agreement at any time.

2b.   Membership shall be renewed by payment to the Club of the annual subscription then in force on the expiry date.

2c.   The Club reserves the absolute right to terminate without prior written notice the membership of any member if payment of any money due to the Club is in arrears for more than 30 days.

2d.   Membership of the Club may be terminated at any time.  Any refund is at the sole discretion of the Club. The Club reserves the right at its sole discretion to refuse admission and/or cancel membership forthwith if any member shall in the opinion of the Club cause nuisance or annoyance to the other Club members or their guest.

2e.   The Club will not accept responsibility for any harm which may come to a member or guest as a result of their undertaking within the Club any activity which may cause harm to themselves or another member

 

ACCESS AND CHECKING IN

3a.   Members may gain access to the Premises by presenting their membership card at Reception or by Direct access to The Cask Club via……….

Members may take up to four guests to the Club on a single day. Requests for more than four guests should be made in advance to the General Manager or Membership Secretary who will use discretion to decide admittance.

The same guest may attend the Premises up to a maximum of five times per year.  Guests must always enter the club accompanied by the member and will remain the member’s responsibility at all times whilst on the Premises.

3b.   Members, guests and visitors must wear a form of dress appropriate to the time of day and place on all occasions.

3c.   All guests must be accompanied by a Member. Members must ensure that their guests abide by the Rules of the Club and accept responsibility for their guest’s behaviour. The same guest may not be introduced more than six times in the Club year.

3.d All members and guests must be over 21 years of age

3.e. The Cask Club is a no smoking environment.

3.f. No animals are allowed in the Cask Club.

 

LOST OR DAMAGED PROPERTY

4a.   Items  left on the premises are at the member’s or guest’s own risk.  The Club accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to any personal belongings left in the Club by members or guests.

4b.   All lost property found on the premises is to be handed in to the Club.  

Lost property will be disposed of after three months.

 

CLUB HOURS

  1.   Monday – Saturday 5.00 – 23.00 The club reserves the right to vary opening times.

  

PAYMENT STRUCTURE

6a.  The membership subscription shall be fixed annually and shall be paid annually in advance on the 1st day of January.

Appropriate adjustments will be made for those who join within 12 months of the 1st of January. Should the membership fee remain unpaid 30 days after it falls due, irrespective of usage, the member will become liable to pay the remaining contract value in full.

 

MEMBERSHIPS

Membership Benefits are stated in this brochure.

7a:   Individual Membership is available subject to acceptance by the Club.  Joint Memberships are available for couples living at the same address.  Joint memberships are subject to the same rules governing individual members, with each being jointly responsible for the membership contract.

Corporate Membership is a contract between a corporate entity and The Club.  Each contract entitles a maximum group of 6 employees to all the standard membership privileges.  The group must all work for the same company and must present proof of employment on joining. The same rules governing Individual and Joint Memberships remain applicable for a Corporate Membership.  In the event that the Corporation wishes to substitute a new employee for an existing Corporate Member, a request for a change should be made in writing to the Membership Secretary of the Club. The agreement to this change is at the discretion of The Club.Nominated individuals holding a corporate Membership will be directly responsible for all additional charges that may accumulate to their Club account.  If a Corporation wishes to open a Corporate Direct Debit account, an arrangement with the Membership Secretary must be agreed in advance.

7b. Memberships are not transferable under any circumstances and no refunds for the payment or part payment of membership will be made other than in exceptional circumstances and agreed by the Company.

All Members & Guests must be over 21 years of age

8a. On acceptance all new members will be provided with a membership documentation which will remain the property of the Club. Cards are not transferable and any card being used by a person other than the authorised member may result in that membership being cancelled with no refund being made.

On termination of membership documentation is to be returned to the Club on demand.  Lost membership cards will be replaced but a charge will be made.

8b.   Members are required to comply with all reasonable directions which the Manager may give to ensure convenience of all members.

8c.   Any dispute or difference which may arise in regard to the interpretation of these Rules shall be determined by the Proprietor, whose decision shall be final and binding on all members of the Club.

8d.   The Proprietor of the Club reserves the right to amend these Rules.

 

COMPLAINTS

  1. Complaints concerning any matters affecting the club shall be made in writing to the Company Directors.
